  • Behold the Scindapsus pictus 'Exotica,' a captivating plant closely related to Scindapsus pictus var. 'Argyreus.' In contrast to Argyreus, this variety boasts a broader expanse of silver splashing across its leaves, creating a less defined yet enchanting appearance. Hold it under light, and you'll witness a shimmering, satin-like quality to the silver on some leaves. A member of the Araceae family and native to Thailand and the Philippines, this slower-growing vine is not as common as the Pothos but thrives in normal household environments, with a preference for higher humidity. Its rounded-heart-shaped leaves gracefully curve to one side at the tip, and over time, it can reach impressive lengths of several feet. For optimal coloration, place it in bright, indirect light, though it adapts well to shady areas.

Plant Care:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light; adaptable to shady areas.
  • Soil: Well-draining potting mix; let the top inch dry between waterings.
  • Humidity: Appreciates higher humidity; mist occasionally.
  • Temperature: Ideal range is 65-75°F (18-24°C).
  • Water: Moderate watering; avoid overhydration.
